Trampoline!

A few months ago, I thought to myself, "How do we get an energetic 3-year-old and a bouncing baby boy to burn off some energy?!  I know...we'll buy them a trampoline!  Maybe I'll get it at Christmas or maybe for one of the kids' birthdays..."  But when I saw one at the store the other day, I thought, "what the heck, may as well buy it for them now!"

Julian worked all evening to get it set up.  When we got home from school, he was putting the finishing touches on it so I distracted the kids with riding around in the Cozy Coupe.  It was Alex's first time riding in the little red car and he loved it!

But finally, after dinner, Daddy finished the trampoline.

Jillian was so excited to get in!

She had such a great time bouncing around with her Daddy...

...and playing with a ball in there...

...and Bubsy and I had fun watching and bouncing, too!

We had so much fun as a family on our new toy and I can see us spending lots more time on our brand new trampoline!

Couldn't get them both to look up and smile at the same time #reallifepic

Silly Jilly sings Adorable Alex a song

Every night, before Alex goes to bed, I sing him "You Are My Sunshine."  I have sang this song to him every night since we brought him home from the hospital.  While I know it has a second verse, I didn't really know it, so I just kinda made it up.
For about 3 nights out of the week, it's just me, Alex, and Jillian at home around bed time so I am often putting Bubs to sleep while Jilly is in the room.  And since he was about a month old, Jillian has been singing him "You Are My Sunshine" too.
It is the cutest thing and it melts my heart every time she sings it to him.  Except from my adapted second verse, she changed it even more to fit her.
Here's what she says:

The other night, dear,
As you lay sleeping
I watched you dream and
I wondered how
I got so lucky
To be your SISTER
So please don't take my sunshine away

I wish they could both stay this tiny and this precious forever!

Happy 9 Months, Alex!

How did this adorable boy get to be 9 months already?!  Time is just flying by!

Look how surprised he is to be 9 months old already!!!

It has been a great month for Bubsy. He started army man crawling and is now full out crawling. He's not very fast (yet) and he likes following his silly sister around.

Soon after cutting his first tooth, the second one also started coming in. So now he has his front two bottom teeth. With those new teeth and now that he's crawling, I have started trying to give him solid food, like puffs or Cheerios. He doesn't really like them too much as he still pushes it out of mouth. The only solids he likes are these things called Mum-Mums (rice rusks). Silly boy!

So the other day, Daddy walked into Bubs' room in morning and he was standing up in his crib, looking like he was ready to climb out. So Bubs got his crib lowered and while he still pulls up to a standing position, at least it'll be awhile till he figures out how to get out.

Now he only peers over the side since we lowered his crib

But, boy oh boy, is he a curious and adventurous little guy! He gets into everything, he's a little bit of a daredevil, and he's so mischievous. But he's so cute that he gets away with a lot of stuff with Mommy and Daddy. Even his cute face can't save him from Jillian, though. She doesn't let him get away with anything!

He knocked down his sign...see, he's into everything1
Bubsy, our world is so much brighter with you in it! We love you so much, Alex!!!

See you next month when I am even bigger!

Adorable Alex: And He's Off!

Our Adorable Alex just learned to crawl! This little boy has been army man crawling for about a week now, but we knew it was only a matter of time till he learned to officially crawl! So here he is at less than 9 months already showing off his super skills as a super baby. Enjoy!

(And now Julian and I need to step up our babyproofing/cleaning...)
